York Art Gallery
York, United Kingdom
York Art Gallery is particularly rewarding for anyone interested in ceramics. Its Centre of Ceramic Art presents British studio pottery through changing displays, from familiar domestic pieces to more experimental forms. The wider programme adds temporary exhibitions, making it worth checking what will be showing during your stay. Give the ceramics time rather than simply passing through on the way to another exhibition. Some galleries close between displays, so consult the current visitor information before booking.
