Goa’s pleasures stretch from the coloured houses of Fontainhas to the broad sands of Agonda. Panaji and Old Goa bring art, architecture and layered history, while Assagao and Siolim have become rewarding places to eat. In the south, Benaulim and the villages around it offer quieter resorts and a different coastal rhythm. Distances matter here: choose a northern base for a busy restaurant itinerary, or settle farther south for more time around the beach and pool.
